Vietnam left an indelible mark on me during my one-month stay. The chance to observe, assist, and teach at Future School in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp, filled me with gratitude. Throughout my practicum, I acquired invaluable insights, honed essential skills, and gathered experiences that I eagerly anticipate carrying back to my home country.

 

Future School, locally known as Trường Tương Lai, stands as a diverse educational institution that warmly welcomes students from various cultural and religious backgrounds. Within its walls, students encounter a wealth of facilities, including modern classrooms equipped with whiteboards, tables, chairs, and projectors—all designed to facilitate effective learning. These resources, coupled with the school’s dual focus on academic rigor and personal growth, create a balanced environment that nurtures students’ cognitive, social, and emotional development.

At the heart of Future School’s curriculum lies project-based learning—an approach that aligns with their mission of cultivating 21st-century skills and preparing students to tackle global challenges. Beyond mere academic prowess, this method fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration—essential qualities for shaping a generation poised for the future. Through hands-on projects, students immerse themselves in practical tasks, building a robust skill set that extends far beyond textbooks.

Having observed the situation, I’ve identified opportunities to enhance technology integration in classroom teaching. Future School boasts laptops and projectors that could be more effectively utilized by incorporating interactive, technology-driven educational materials. Imagine captivating PowerPoint presentations or multimedia resources that elevate classroom interactions and ignite students’ enthusiasm for learning!

Overall, my gratitude extends to the SEA-Teacher Exchange Student Program for granting me this invaluable experience at Future School. The fresh skills and knowledge I acquired will undoubtedly shape my journey as an educator, making me a versatile and capable teacher for the students I’ll guide in the future.
