Curriculum

Future School, situated in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp, Vietnam, is committed to preparing the next generation for the challenges of the future. The school offers a comprehensive educational journey from preschool to high school, complete with modern amenities such as advanced classrooms, sports facilities, and an arts area. At Trường Tương Lai, the curriculum takes a holistic approach, aiming to foster students’ cognitive, social, and emotional growth while equipping them to thrive in a global context. Beyond core subjects, students also acquire life skills and language proficiency in both English and German, thanks to a strategic partnership with educational institutions in Germany. This collaboration opens doors for students who aspire to continue their studies in Germany after graduation.

 

Teaching Plan

As part of the 10th batch of the SEA-Teacher program, I had the privilege of teaching at Future School in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp, Vietnam, for approximately one month. My assignment was to work with Secondary School classes 6C and 8D, under the guidance of a supervisor who closely monitored my progress and provided mentorship. My journey began with observations in Mr. Marcelo’s class (6C). I meticulously documented various aspects of his teaching methods, from lesson delivery to student engagement with assignments, and took note of classroom rules and the overall learning environment. After this observation phase, I took on the responsibility of teaching English to classes 6C and 8D, aligning with my specialization in English Education. Over the course of four sessions during the month, I implemented my teaching strategies. With valuable guidance from my supervisor, Miss Mai, I crafted lesson plans that met the school’s criteria and were designed to captivate students effectively. Once these plans received approval, I conducted teaching demonstrations in the classroom. Below, I’ve included a sample of the lesson plan I developed.
